Bérénice Hahn

Based between South Africa and France, Bérénice Hahn is an award-winning producer of documentary and animation short films. On festival distribution at Square Eyes, sales and festival distribution agency, she represents author-driven fiction and documentary features. She was previously the Sales Agent and part of the production team of Generation Africa, a STEPS pan-African collection of 25 documentaries about migration experienced by African youth across 16 African countries, and a Producer on Mzansi in the time of Covid-19, collection about the impacts of Covid-19 on South African communities, of which Lindela Under Lockdown won the Best Documentary Short award at the SAFTAs 2021. Berry is a 2023 Judge for the Feature Documentary award at One World Media and Voter for the British Independent Film Awards, 2022 Committee Member and Juror for the Best Writing award at the IDA Documentary Awards, and took part in DIFF's documentary programming in 2021. Realness Institute alumna, she participated to the Southern Africa-Locarno Industry Academy 2021. Berry is also a IDA, DAE, and Collectif 50/50 member.
